Company History
In 1980, the mother-daughter team of Jana Yeates and Lovey Hammel started the staffing company Temporary Solutions, Inc. with an initial investment of just $10,000. The business grew rapidly in the Washington, D.C. metro area. As a result of client demand, Checks and Balances, Inc. was founded in 1984 to handle Employer of Record (EoR) solutions. After exponential growth, Employment Enterprises, Inc. was established in 1989 as the parent company to the two wholly-owned subsidiaries.
Employment Enterprises, Inc. earned a place on Inc. Magazine’s list of the 500 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States a remarkable four times. Despite the company’s aggressive drive for growth, we maintain the same family atmosphere that we had when the firm first launched four decades ago. Because of our commitment to our employees, our average employee tenure is 15 years—well above the average within the workforce solutions industry.
Corporate Headquarters
Employment Enterprises has held our headquarters in Prince William County since our inception in 1980. Since then, we have continuously expanded our service area from local to national while structuring our services to best meet the priorities and geographical service locations for both our clients and employees.
With added virtual capabilities, our staff operates seamlessly no matter their location. We leverage the latest in cloud computing, virtualization technology, VoIP, and Virtual Private Networking to enable our employees to work from anywhere. Our team of service professionals travels to customer sites and locations throughout the nation, and connect to our corporate network to interface with their team and our secure proprietary network.
